Tighten + Tone Tuesday: March Madness at Fit Armadillo Week One

Happy Tighten and Tone Tuesday! Can you believe it’s already March? I know I’m having a hard time believing it!  During the month of February Tighten + Tone Tuesday focused on tips for your cardiovascular fitness and in honor of Heart Health month.  This month’s theme is March Madness. Don’t worry, I won't be breaking out my lack of basketball skills! Instead, I’ll be sharing fitness myths that have been driving me mad and letting you in on the fitness facts.

This first video won’t cover a fitness myth.  Instead, it introduces this month’s video series and provides a link to a brief meditation I recorded for you to enjoy anytime you hear one too many fitness myths so you don’t really go mad.  The meditation I’ve shared is one that I often use at then end of my Pilates classes, but it can be used any time. You’ll be able to download the mp3 so you can take it with you  anywhere.

Week One of March Madness Video and Meditation:

You can find the link to download your meditation in the ABOUT section of the video on YouTube or just click HERE>>

Do you have a meditation practice? What about a fitness myth that is driving you mad? Share your thoughts with a comment below:

No, I don't have a meditation practise, but it would be difficult to do with 5 very noisy kids in my house. Instead, I have "quiet spaces" in my house, such in my bedroom, where no noise is allowed when I'm in that room.

I've never had a problem with weight, only when I needed to loose about seven pounds after baby number 2 and I ended up loosing it naturally just being active. But I'd love to have a meditation practice. I think I'd have to fit that in right after the kids go to bed because there is no way I'd get to do that in the mornings when kids wake up so early.

I really need to get my arms into shape. Plus I need to lose lots of weight too! :(

It's nice that you've put this series up. I was laughing about your elementary-school basketball feat... I can see my youngest doing that too, but I'd never say that out loud. ;)

Time goes by so quickly, that's true. And here I am in March not reaching any of my fitness goals :( I know, I've been bad :) Meditation has never been my strong point, I seem to lack the patience to learn how to practice it.

I definitely need to tighten and tone my arms. Thanks for the info.

I don't meditate but I really should start.

I need to try that and resume my exercise routine, I've been sooo lazy!

I have been lazy as well. I need to step up my game.

I have been struggling getting my meditation in in the wee hours of the morning because I am actually working out typically starting at 5:30 pm. Thanks for stopping by WOW Link Up #18 this week.

Make sure you post a link to your Facebook Fan Page as that is the theme for this week. :-)

I don't meditate, though I have tried a couple of times. Fitness myth that bothers me: when I hear commercials that say "get in shape in just XX Days". It's so misleading. People expect fast results, but the faster you get them, the shorter you can actually keep them. Fitness is a lifestyle and constant work in progress!

I'm using march to set some new fitness goals. Like actually getting up off my lazy butt! :)
